Allow me to share with you sweet-toothed friends of mine (ahem,
Julls,
Shevs, and
Eps) a piece of heaven that I discovered last week.
They're called
Bong Bong's Butterscotch Bars.

Tita Ana,
Mum's friend and housemate in London, had her sister sent these all the way from
Bacolod - along with several packs of
danggit - to Mum. In turn, Mum sent some over to our place.

I'm a sucker for Butterscotch bars, caramel bars, and brownies. My husband fondly recalls that whenever we dine at Max's, he never gets to eat his caramel bar (
the ones that come with their chicken platters) because I wheedle him to give 'em to me instead.

These Bong Bong Butterscotch Bars are perfect.
Sweet, but not too sweet to make the husband cringe. Chewy and soft and moist, and they remain like that even after you've stocked in the fridge. I can eat one whole pack in one sitting!
And so dear friends, if any of you are going to Bacolod - or hail from Bacolod - can you be an angel and send me some of this heaven? My (unborn) baby and I will truly appreciate it. ^-^
